Ms. Xie is dedicated to the field of translation studies, particularly in the areas of interpreting theory, research, and teaching. Xie assumes the responsibility of delivering various courses, including “Simultaneous Interpretation,” “Consecutive Interpretation,” “Interpretation Skills and Practice,” and “Translation.” Her series course on “Interpreting” has garnered many accolades, such as the Jiangnan University Excellent Course Award, the 2nd Prize in the 6th National Foreign Language Mini-course Competition, and the 2nd prize in the Jiangnan University Teaching Achievement Award. Xie has authored several books and SSCI, CSSCI publications, undertaken independent research projects in philosophy and social sciences, sponsored by Jiangsu Province universities. She has also played an integral role in the Jiangnan University teaching reform project, specifically in the development of the online course “Interpreting.” In addition to her duties as a teacher, Ms. Xie is also a certified translator and interpreter who has extensive experience in interpreting at over a hundred conferences. She has provided simultaneous interpreting and consecutive interpreting services for distinguished individuals including Nobel laureates in Chemistry, high-ranking government officials at national, provincial and municipal levels, renowned sports figures, esteemed economists, and influential leaders.
